That's where I draw the line, I don't want to know that because it directly translates to the way you shoot.

Well, you thought Enron was sneaky when they cooked their books!! I will say that hunting public land keeps the cost down a ton, and since gas prices fell this fall, it was less than projected!!

I just created an expense spreadsheet for the ranch we bought 2 years ago, inclusive of feed bills, utilities, insurance, supplies, mortgage, etc. That was a MISTAKE!!!

Making money is not an option........staying afloat is the goal!

isn't a public land type 2 permit $48.00? How could you have only spent thirty something if a permit is more than that? or is it some different kind of public land?

I did a tally last year and it was well over 10k, I spend an annual of about 15k for my outdoor sports and this is coming from the female aspect! Understand women hunt and fish and we like to have all the pretty things that go along with the sport. So now you know why the outdoor store like my business as well .

                              Here's how I justify/look at it:

                              - I quit Skoal last January. That's one can per day at about $5.50 per can. Multiply that by 365 days per year and that comes out to $2,007.50.

-My deer lease is cheaper than that, so I guess I'm saving money.
-Wife should be happy with that. And that's what is important.
