I'm going to waste all the money I can on hunting equipment.

I figure if the banks and auto manufacturer's can throw it away and still get bailed out I might as well too!

Now you know why my husband and I both quit full time, good paying jobs to outfit hunts full time. We may not get rich, but we'll always have plenty of meat to eat!

Why would you even talk about this kind of stuff?

Mods ... please delete this thread!

BTW, I enjoy every penny that I spend on hunting.
Asking me to add it up would be like asking Smart to add up how much he spends on Blue Bell!

If you didn't spend it on hunting you'd spend it on something else.

Man, it's funny you started this thread. Just the other night over dinner my wife asks me "how much money do you spend on hunting every year?". I thought very carefully before I said a word and answered "my deer lease is $1000.00/year". She comes back with "no, I mean how much do you spend on everything that has to do with hunting every year?". There was another pause as I pondered how to answer her. Then I said : "I really don't know how much it would be and I know you don't want to know". We moved on to discussing other things. I guess I lucked out that she didn't push it and get me with a paper and pencil to figure it out. I think it would stun me but I think it would floor her.

                            Did you count gas?

How about the jerky for your pack?

                            Cover Scents?

                            Attractant scents?

Now remember it all counts toward total cost.

Your public hunt permit alone is $48.

If that is all you spent this year, I take my had off to you and please share you secret with the rest of us addicts!

I spent more than $37.67 on gas the first day. That is all the cost figuring I am doing for my cost's from this year.

There is no cure for our addiction, only a short fix!

Wait till you sign up for the caribou hunt we're going on in 2010. The outfitter is still waiting for you to call with your cc info.

Just wait, by the end of May you will not only have a dead mt lion but now a bear. The mt lion will be tougher than the bear. The bear hunt is nothing but a relaxing good time. The problem is I think we will end up feeding each others addiction. Kinda like a drug dealer/ junkie relationship. Neither one of us can say no.

well i said it is best to keep this stuff quiet and just know it all goes for a good time , so my wife read it earlier and was shaking her head, looks at me and says "did you figure up what you spent" to only hear my reply of no because you cant put a price on such good times.

She said she was gonna so she grabbed my check books and started and quit in very quick order. and all i can say is i knew it was alot but its better left alone and just enjoy it.
