I understand the wife and i had a sit down meeting last night about going ahead and forking over the cash for one good lease and get off the cheaper not so good ones.. And i got the ok so we are headed for the higher price BUT in return we will have a better time SEEING deer and haveing a big enough place for the kids to have fun.. I figured off the top of my head my espenses one the cheaper leases actually cost more than the one more expensive lease will.. Cause i will tag out sooner and be home more atleast that is what i told her LOL

It doesn't matter to my wife what I spend on hunting, because when we go to Texas to hunt, she gets to see her folks, so I end up lookin like the good guy.
That and since I usually only buy tags now that I have most of the gear I need, it isn't really that bad.

Now TAXI bills are another story...

Heck I forgot to add the Licenses.... Next year my youngest son will be 17, so 3 Super Combos + 3 Public Hunting land passes.... about $350 for those alone!

Since having kids(I currently have a 3 year old and a 6 month old), my money has been re-allocated from hunting/fishing with my wife fund to the diapers/formula/day care/college education funds/groceries fund. In a couple of years some money will start to filter back into the HFWM2BAW fund(hunting/fishing with my 2 boys(and wife) fund).

Since I'm in college and have no time to work I've been able to aquire most of my expensive stuff through either Birthday or Christmas, and all the other things I somehow convince my dad to let me buy them, I guess its because I remind him that I could just as easily be involved with drugs and alcohol instead so then he doesn't really mind that I spend money on hunting or fishing.
