we put one on Brocks Posey and he is still undecided on it after swinging it, he wants to give it another week or 2.

to me it feels really good in your hand.
If anyone is interested in these... i own them and will sell cheap -- used for one practice - kid didnt like it.

Did you try it with just the bottom part? Before I bought mine I heard from 2 other kids that they didn't like the top part so I only bought the bottom.

Mine seems to like it so far, hit one out in practice last night but says he still wants to use it in a real game before he commits to it.

no..we did use both pieces.. and his swing has come alive lately just using the black cat7 that im being cautious in messing with it...

i will say it does feel unnatural with both pieces..and thats my big hands on it..his little mitts dont quite get a decent grip around it.

Yep, that's what they said, the top part just made it way too fat.

Not trying to kill your sale! For an older kid, 12-13+ it's probably fine..

Oh yeh.. i agree ..just too big for him.. after owning the axe, i can see its merit for someone bigger.
              theory is sound.

Springers parents bought him one according to a guy that hasnt been right about anything ever. Seems to work for him...and Dustin Pedroia and Mookie Betts... but wth do they know.

No, not employed by any bat company but I probably keep a few folks there employed

My 7yo is swinging a Marucci Hex 27/17 and is loving it after a couple sessions in the cage.

I thought it was a coupon good for anything, looks like it's just for new bats.

Plus as fast as he is growing it is hard to spend that much money for a bat that he may not use that long. But man the ball flies off this bat when my son hits it.

I just don't get the hype behind these bats. My 12 yo had the green one that was banned and my 9 year old had this one. Both boys blew them up in short order and we were VERY careful with them. Basically they were game bats, but we did let them swing it a few times at lessons so they could get the feel of them. Sure they are hot, but I honestly think the LS 918's they swing now are just as hot and are a heck of alot more durable. Plus it's a bat they can actually use all the time, with exception to pitching machine balls and cold temps. I think the DeMarini's start hotter out of the wrapper, but once the Louisville's break in I can see no difference. I will say that we were able to get the bats replaced without to much hassle so that was a plus and now that Wilson owns DeMarini and LS we were able to get DeMarinis replaced with the LS bat of choice. If you go the Zen route just be aware of how fragile they are.

Was never a fan of the CF zen. My son had on crack on him. He using the ghost x now and loves it. Seems it has the same pop as the cf and has been more durable so far

Well I ended up buying my son another Combat Vigor like the one he had been using just longer. I also picked him up a Rawlings Velo as well. He hits both bats well. The Velo is a alloy bat and the Vigor is a one piece composite

Is it the hex 2 alloy? I’ve been looking at it and the posey. My 7u son needs to move up to a 27 but is using a 26” cat 7 right now.
