Kid had an outstanding tourney after struggling a bit offensively this season.

For the tourney, he hit .474, 13 RBI and 3 HR as well as 2 solid pitching outtings.

Really good organization. They have some good teams and some great ones! The Silver team is the best of the 3 12yo groups in Katy. I bet that is who y'all played.

Their pitcher was outstanding and TXJim said the same about being “silver”.

Packing to head to Houston area V Tool. SHSU tonight and then 2 games tomorrow in Tomball area I think. Have a mini camp Monday at A@M and then flight to Atlanta on Wed. It is draining

During our little run we got lucky with a rules violation. We were down 3-0 in the 3rd.

While our score guy was checking our pitch counts as we were looking to change guys, he did a holy ish, and told our Coaches that the opposing Pitcher had recorded 4 straight days of pitching. Our Coach double checked the info and called over the TD. TD asked the Coach and he said he thought the innings on day one fell off as they progressed in the tournament. TD called the game.

Their Mamas got to yelling and screaming, a couple Dads got up in arms. I had to come from the outfield and stand between sides as they kept trying to get in faces. Their Coach told some of the calmer ones it was his fault and apologized. The pitcher was dropping "f" bombs and crying uncontrollably. Police showed up to escort them.



I hated it, but dang that was a dumb Coaching move. Felt terrible for the Kids. 10-11 yr olds.

Which team was it? My son played there with the Katy Cannons. We pitched and played defense pretty well but forgot our bats.

There is a s-storm going on several of the Facebook baseball groups about the Bombers coach getting outed for buying a shaved bat from Gorilla Bats. Evidently he never paid for it so the owner of Gorilla Bats posted the receipt and text messages from the coach ordering it.

It seems absolutely crazy. I watched the 11u squad at the state tourney a few weeks ago. The fact that they would use shaved bats at that skill level is UNBELIEVABLE!

thats what people keep saying, "why would they use shaved bats when they are the best team already," but how do we know they havent been using shaved bats all along?

every bomb they hit is a no doubter. we have always laughed that it seemed like every kid on the team used the same bat even though there were 6-7 others hanging on the rack in the dugout.

he is trash, he has already been suspended from utrip for cheating before, thats when the spitfire got started. he just went and started a new team then when his ban was lifted the bombers showed back up. and people still let kids play for him, i dont get it.

You guys first game is on the same field right after our first game. Are you coming up for the tournament?

It looks like a couple AAA teams popped up to chase rings, so we will all have a tough road, but it should be a fun weekend with the festival going on at the park.

Oh I know of him - He was coaching the team I was watching down in DeSoto. I have read a ton on that team / back story. Crazy stuff in USA Today and all the stuff that surrounds youth baseball.

I was just curious if it was actually him, or one of the Assistants or something that got the bats. I was accepted into the QAB group and read the thread a min. ago, lol.

Not going to make the trip but I have 3 grandson's and 1 great nephew on the team. My grandson's play first, second, and shortstop. Nephew plays pitcher. Andy Howard and Jeff Greenway are my two son-in-laws that coach the team. Andy is the head coach and coaches 3rd base and Jeff is usually the 1st base coach. Jeff is Multihunter on here. Go say hello.
