I like the big drains on the grizzly. You can empty an ice chest really fast. and they're made in the USA.

maybe that's why yeti doesn't put a bigger drain in their coolers, since ice doesn't melt in them.

I went to school from first grade through the 12th grade with the creator of Yeti Coolers. He is one of the nicest guys you could ever hope to meet. The jealousy on here for a company that came out of Texas is pretty mind-blowing. Nobody makes you buy them, yet they have managed to sell an unbelievable amount of them.
I personally am thrilled that anyone my age could accomplish something like that. Yes, I am biased. But you can't argue with success. Hell, everytime somebody bumps another Yeti thread up to complain about them is just more free advertising.
I love capitalism. That's why I get out of bed in the morning.

I agree here so much. I know them as well and they are good guys. Yeti will be around for a long time. Price don't matter to a lot of people.

Has nothing to do with that. The Hopper Two launches on 3/1, thus the price drop on the original. Newer version will have much easier accessibility and more insulation for better performance.

Rotomolded coolers and servicing devices have been used in the military for 50+ years. I believe also Engel was out 50 years ago so there's that, as well. Yeti nor Sherpa were the inventors, they were both copycats.
