New Year Workout Accountability 2017

    Another depressing chest and cardio this am. I've got 1 week left in this program and diet, then I'll run the numbers and see what was actually achieved/lost. My strength has just hit rock bottom. I haven't measured yet ( next week), but so far I'm not real positive that I did anything that went towards any of my prior achievements

    In 8 weeks so far:
    Lost 20 lbs
    I'm guessing it's m in the 11-12% range judging from past 6 years of references ( will know next week)
    Chest press down 50# first set....
    0 increase in lifts from week 1... most decreased
    Ego killer... but I track everything so maybe I can fix some of it in the next month

      Made it today....

      Got a solid 6 hours of sleep. I need 7, but I'll take it. Went for lower weight, number of sets and higher volume of reps. Legs and shoulders. Incline leg press/calf raises/lateral raises, leg extension/incline front raises, rear delt cable pulls/calf raises/incline situps/ab wheel.


      I've been watching my carb intake. I can tell my energy level is down somewhat.

      Tomorrow will be chest and biceps.

        Hit it this morning. 20 minutes of cardio and one long circuit 4 times. 12-15 reps of everything and no rest between exercises. 2 min rest between circuits.
        Ski machine, 12 calories
        TRX rows
        KB thrusters
        push ups
        KB RDLs
        Pull over situps w/20 lb DB
        DB Curls
        KB figure 8s

          Has anyone been to a Chiropractor? I have an appt tomorrow am. I've been having some hip discomfort and now, it's causing knee pain. I believe it's anterior pelvic tilt. Any info is appreciated. Thanks.


          Btw....I'm not a big believer in chiropractors but this guy comes highly recommended.

              Still been at it the last 4 days (was fishing in Del rio Thur-Saturday last weekend).

              Eating better these last few days also.

                Not a chiropractor fan so no help. Have you been running a lot or more than usual? It might be your IT band.

                  Actually less, they really get angry under a load. I can walk ok bUT even getting up irritates them. Could also be tight hammies.

                    Got in some dead lifts today for strength and a booger of a cardio workout
                    3 rounds
                    20 pistols
                    20 chin to over head
                    20 box jump overs

                    It didn't sound that bed when I looked at it this morning but it ended up being a good one.

                        From 364 at my heaviest to 180. The only thing I did other than eating right and working out, was when I first started my doc gave me a script for Phentermine for 90 days. I lost enough weight in those 3 months to get me jump started I guess and just took it from there. I'm know God helped me along the way too, but I've made being healthy a way of life. Just thought I'd share some before and after pics since I don't think I ever did!!

                        I have not posted in awhile but I have been getting in workouts5 days a week and trying to get my youngest (15) ready for two a days. He is up to 5'11 and 191 pounds. It's all coming together!

                          Chest and biceps today. Got there a little late and didn't get done as much as I wanted. Bench press/barbell curls/hanging leg raises, incline dumbbell press/preacher curl/ab wheel, pec deck/incline dumbbell curls.

                              Getting back into it since taking off since mid May. Elbow feels a lot better and I didnt lose as much as I thought I was going to. Taking it slow now, chest and tri's on monday and yesterday. Back and Bi's yesterday. Man, I had forgotten what a zoo the gym can be. But it is also good to feel the muscles burning this morning.

                                Little background..I workout pretty hard everyday..Everyday.
                                "To failure" is something I've never done before..Getting that last sit up while inverted on a heavy bag..Last rep on bench,elbows quivering,closest I've ever been til about 10 mins ago..Seated rows.Stopped counting @ 39..It was my last set,5x12 130lbs..I don't remember much after 39.I heard the weights slam,and looking at my watch;I was out for about 2 mins...It ain't for me,lol
