Since waiting until game week did not work out well this year getting takers for avatar challenges, I am opening the 2017 LSU Cyber avatar window for the week. Sign up early so you don't have to back down the first week of November 2017.
For all the TEXAS fans if you want get on the inside giving Coach Herman an early Christmas gift, go to the University's supply store and get him a leather journal that says TEXAS not UH

Think each school got the "right" coach. As a Tiger fan, I'm glad to have Coach O. Football requires emotion and energy -- O got that kind of play out of his players this year. His interview Friday only capped a two-month tryout for the job. The head coach doesn't have to manage the x's and o's, but needs to know what he knows or doesn't know. And he needs to know how to get the right technical minds in place so he can manage the people and the program. He sets the tone. Patton was not a great general because he was the best tank gunner; he achieved greatness by setting the bar and requiring the best and boldest from those under him.

I agree with this too. The crazy thing is if Texas beats Kansas and TCU (maybe just Kansas with a good game played vs TCU, Strong is still in Austin and Herman is at LSU.
I like the direction for both schools.

I hated to see Strong be let go but after the losses to Kansas and TCU, it had to happen. Only time will tell but I like the odds that Herman is a good fit for the program. I just can't put my finger on why Strong's teams did not play with more passion!
I can't wait until September 2nd of next year to be a DKR for the first game of the 2017 season. Then a road trip to LA for the game against USC. That's going to be a tough one!

I think Herman will wait until UH fills their HC position before he hires his coordinators. Depending on what UH does, I could see one or both his former coordinators at UH joining him in Austin, but I'd gladly take PR.
Don't think it will happen but I'd also throw the bank at the DC from Wiscy. They play some salty defense and had great games against both Michigan and tOSU.
