I think we hear something "official" on Strong today, there's no way they dangle him out in front of the media tomorrow.

I can't help but think that they fire strong, Herman decides there way too much drama here, and we end up in the same **** show we had the last time we were looking for a coach. Then we settle for a coach that they don't really want but don't have a choice because the powers that be screw everything up again.

I do think they will have a discussion with Strong with how he wants to handle the situation with the announcement. I think he will agree to whatever he feels is best for the team. I bet he's more concerned about the team than his own status as that seems to be the type of guy he is.

The only positive coming from yesterday is this allows a clean break from Strong. It's not a discussion about if he should get another year or not. It probably helps the new coach coming in they lost to Kansas too by not having them thinking Strong got a raw deal.

My only hope is the Texas administration knew this was a possibility all year and they started their due diligence after the OSU game. They should have a plan......I hope.

Any chance Jimbo Fisher comes to Texas instead of Herman?

Fisher is going to come with a hefty price tag. His buyout is $5M and has $44M left on his contract through 2022. So that means it's at least $50M to get him. This goes for Texas and LSU. Texas will be on the hook for something like $12M to buyout Strong and coaches. So that's $17M plus a $45M contract, I think that would cause people to hold up.

Herman is probably a $30-36M contract and his buyout is only $2.5M
