Some of you just don't get it. Just because you can't afford something or think the price is to high, doesn't mean it is not good for someone else who can and would. But, all you can do is sit here and gripe about something you're not going to be doing anyway. Again, if you're not interested, just move along....

Just think if you were a terrible shot and didn't kill a bird.. $36,000 for a sore shoulder.

Read the updated post, 4,500 acres for $4 per acre, max of 6 guys. Total is $18,000, and if split 6 ways, that's $3k each.

Haven't spent enough time around here much? Griping's the norm.

Just bustin' your balls since everyone else was. Something is worth whatever some other one will pay. If they pay it. Guess it's worth it. I just got on 5000 acres in Crockett for $3k with around 8 guys and few of there kids occasionally, deer, dove, quail, Turkey, mullies if seen and its year around. Camp house that needs finishing and power hookups. I'm sure some people think that is too high as well.

I have a quail Lease in Dickens and get full season with a house at 3700 Acres and we pay 2.65 an acre. I can afford to write a check for whatever I want but it won't be for this. By the way the guy is from Kerrville looks like and may not know what stuff really leases for.

What caused the 50% price cut in less than 24 hours?

I live in Kerrville but have been in the hunting and wildlife management business for 16 years. I know what leases do, and can, go for across the state. I even worked for NWTF for a while leasing lands for TPWD across the state. Good hunting is worth paying for.

                    Rancher changed his mind.

                      Yeah that's only $52.63 per hunter/ day [emoji50]

10 4. Good quail leases are often more expensive than deer leases, I was just surprised at the drop in price. Good luck on finding a group.

In that area I'm sure you'll find some good quail hunters. Our lease owner bought 1,000+ acres to do nothing but quail hunt. They will pay big money for the enjoyment of a good bird hunting.

I can afford it, that's not an issue...but the reason I can afford it...is because I don't light fires with hundred dollar bills. As to the griping, I'm not sure you understand that the majority of us are making fun of the rancher and his expectations.

I won't join one until I have a dog that can point.

Is ocean front property in Arizona included with this lease? Will you throw the golden gate in free?

Come on man, the rancher said lease it for whatever you can get for it.......
