I had them pegged at 7-5 and still think that's about where they're at.
The back and forth QB garbage is getting old.

Been curious and waiting to see buchele when he's not just throwing a quick hitch or a deep go route bomb. Average qbs can do that, good ones can make reads and deliver under pressure.

Did the D improve in the 3rd and 4th?

I had them at 7-5 also. I was expecting them to lose one they should win like last night. In fact was expecting a 1-2 start so I'll keep my burnt orange shades on this morning and say the future still looks bright.
Lots of things to build on from last night. Hopefully we figure out how to stop a screen by ou game.

Like a moth drawn to the flame, I continue to come back and read this thread. I guess in some ways I find it quite entertaining that "some" grown men can become almost psychotic over 18-22 year olds playing a game. I never understood the fanaticism of what I experienced in the '80's as a player and I still don't understand it 30+ years later as a fan. I am the ultimate "T-shirt" Longhorn fan and have no problem with that. Heck they were by far and away our most hated rival while I was at SMU but when I was very young my Momma taught me 5 things about football-ALWAYS root for the Horns, the Cowboys, and the Comfort Bobcats and NEVER root for Notre Dame or the Redskins.
Make no mistake, that was a poor defensive showing last night. But, as some have pointed out already, tap the breaks, and let this season play out. If you cannot see that this team is better than the product we have seen the last several years then you are wearing blinders. An old coaching adage I think is in order here, this ain't a sprint, it's a marathon. I truly believe this team will be fine and the future is bright.

I still like buechele...he didn't have his greatest outing against Cal...as short as it was after getting a BoB choke slam by wilson that had him walking like he got double lunged by a howitzer. ..
The kid has composure and a QB mindset ahead of his years..
He'll be one that will be exciting to watch as he learns and gets more snaps.
Swoopes is...swoopes..not much has changed with him...good for flashes of brilliance but not a go to guy for a game long plan.

Horns were rough to watch last night. Boy Wonder looked like a freshman, defensive secondary lacked confidence and communication, and the offensive play calling lacked an identity at times. High spirits got humbled real quick, including mine. Should be some intense practices and film study for the next two weeks leading up to Okie State. Hook 'Em

The ones that make fun of me or anyone for being positive and call us sunshine pumpers crack me up as well. I try to be positive about everything in life. Doom and gloom and whining and complaining about everything makes for a bad life.

He wasn't bad and he does what's asked of him, lots of dropped balls last night as well. I felt like they jack with his rhythm going back and forth at QB.
floater pick was ugly
They had plenty of chances to check that game off as a win. On to the Bye week.
