Glad it worked out. I tell them to back up and move on, that they are asking the wrong guy. Not letting them get close enough in the dark to hand them $10.

$10 saved that Mexicans life. He should frame it and put it on the mantle.

I'm not sure what to say

You made the right move. $10 bucks to save 4 hours of your time going through your truck and finding what they took. Maybe would have even come back with some firepower of there own. You are correct though, it's a messed up world we live in today, glad your alright.

                  You did the right move.

We all probably feel like $10 shot in ammo taking the scum off the streets would be a better $10 spent. But in this jacked up world you would have been the bad guy somehow.

I may be wrong but I don't give money to people in those situations.

I think the way you handled it and went down was appropriate.

Now if I had my wife or daughter in the truck they would need a giant spatula to scrape that roadkill off the concrete when I initiated "gunship" mode on the Ford.

If they come up to me at a gas station, I tell them to hit the road. In this situation you did the right thing. It still creases me though. I hate people that ask for money. 9 out of 10 it’s a scam.

What situation? This sounds to me like a robbery thwarted by the second amendment. The second they blocked him in this was no longer a pan handler or beggar situation.
