Was in Crowell Thur-Sat, not as much rain there compared to surrounding area, but still green and looks good. Got a lot of work done on stands and feeders. Had a few mishaps but overall a good trip. Weather was good for the time of year. Was just feet away from a very angry 3' rattle snake as I stepped off my ladder. Very tense for a few minutes lol. Saw more deer and turkey than ever before, our 4th yr out there. Looks to be a very good season. There tons of birds in town and flying around, but we just couldn't get a concentration of them. We don't have any sunflowers so its just random fly overs. Hopefully we can plant some next year. Got some millet put out around the pond for ducks. Looking forward to the season.

We went up 2 weekends ago and got all the feeders and cameras going. Surprised the meth head thieves didn't steal the feeders. Anyway, all is well. A pair or owls made a nest out of one of the blinds whose window must've opened in a storm. She's sitting on 7 eggs and I'm thinking the blind is ruined. They load it up with out poop, pellets and dead field mice. It really stinks bad. Good for cover scent but who could sit in it.Guess we're gonna build another blind and put close by.
Its really green up there so should be a good year.
