Well I'm new to hunting. I took my first real hunting trip last year....and that was with a rifle. I grabbed a bow last summer and feel that I'm ready to give it a try. I just got off the phone where I booked a 4 day archery hunt in Cottle county. I can't tell you how excited I am. I know what I'll be doing tomorrow.... Flinging arrows over and over.

I hope your hunt is a huge success. The deer should be in great shape this year!

Im not sure what the soil is like there, ph etc. Since the area got good Spring rains, the ground may be ok this year, hoping for Fall rains as well! If any experience, advice welcomed. Type, or mixtures, use of lime and fertilizer etc. All I see there is wheat, wondering if something diff might get their attention. Im not against wheat or oats, just willing to try something that will work well in that area. (Foard co., Crowell area). Thanks.
