I undertand that basically everybody thinks every school is paying players. Here is my question to you.
Why don't we hear about it?
Let's say a player gets paid to come to a school and is given $500 a month through his playing days. He goes to the NFL, plays 2 years but doesn't really make any money. Now he is back in his hometown working for the city and living pay check to pay check with no degree. Why hasn't one of the kids sold his story to ESPN or TMZ to cash in again? How is this the biggest kept secret in the world? You are talking about thousands of players, coaches, boosters, athletic staff, etc involved in this game but you never hear anybody spilling the beans.
Sure there is a bar tab picked up, a dinner tab, or even maybe the infamous $100 hand shake that goes on, but I am talking about a systematic approach to cheating that involves paying players. I never saw a single sign of the type of cheating that people says goes on when I was at Texas. I was around these guys 24/7 at practice, in class, hanging out, at the bar, etc. A lot of these guys were my friends and I never once heard anything or saw anything that would be the type of cheating that everyone says goes on. I am not saying that college football is clean because it is not, but I don't think the systematic "everyone pays" goes on like people believe.
Hence why I said some form or fashion. I aint talking about $250k in cash sitting on a dudes doorstep. I'm talking about $100 hand shakes, bar tabs, dinner, small things... Oregon giving bralon addison 2 duffel bags full of shoes, shirts, xbox, games, socks after his visit type stuff.. Err Nike my bad ... Don't get all defensive I was just jesting saying that if he did it at Ole Miss he had to of tried it at Texas right. I know football players sell their tickets they get for games through other people and get the money for it. It happens everywhere.
I am not getting defensive. This was a general football question and not directed at anyone . It is more because it is brought up all the time as everybody is doing it.

No. Not right. He did it at ole miss because it was tolerated if not encouraged. There's not one shred of evidence he did anything of the sort at UT. When there is, ill gladly own it.

Watching Aggies take shots at BU is quite comical. Fitting, but funny.
Meh. Watching people that couldn't even get into certain schools take shots at other schools is more comical and it's been going on for years. #dontbeahypocrite
