Come on! No need for the boat, just a rod, box of jigs and waders. My favorite kind of crappie fishing.

Im probably picking up a new pair of breathables tomorrow and try my luck before work all next week.

The wife and I fished tawakoni from 5:30 to 7:00 pm Friday and caught about 20. We kept a dozen legal fish. Largest was over 14 inches. Went back Saturday and caught almost nothing in the same spot! Lol.

We are new to fishing East of Dallas area, moved to Crandall. Would yall be wiling to let us tag along and see your good spots? We have boat!

Teach me your ways! Never shot docks for crappie before but skip jigs under docks all the time for bass. Love it!

2016 Spring crappie spawn

My son and I had decent success bank fishing off and on this week. Probably caught 40 keepers overall. Thought about taking the kayaks out but the wind was pretty rough. We were jigging around the docks when some ole boys in a boat were pulling in and they boated 90 and ended up with a 4 man limit of keepers in two feet of water around brush in one of the creek channels.

Here are a couple of pics. Took the youngest son out one day too.

We're they in our division? Haven't seen them before. They did good! If they had another fish they woulda been near the top. Separated us from a competitor for angler of the year a little bit so I was thankful for that!! Where they live at? Had redfish on their shirts I think!! Big fish tourney on Fork in 2 weeks and then on Ray Bob 3rd Sat of May

Getting off the water now. Testing an old spot for my girlfriend and my favorite way to get after the spring crappie! Love wading out and jigging shallow brush. Did pretty good for 2 hours!

Nice!! Hopefully prefish a day or so this week and fish the creekside tourney on Palestine. This month and Sept are probsbly only 2 I will get to fish. Crappie masters on fork this weekend was nuts sgain. Took 14 pounds to get a check and a little over 15 to win it. That's crazy big fish. I partied all weekend with a bunch of old college buddies in Natchitoches.

Had 140 keepers last 3 days. Found a lot of new piles. Caught some pigs with buddies and came in 3rd in creekside tournament. Beat some good sticks so that was cool. Yesterday was unreal. Today was tough tough.

I'm jealous. Wish i had the time to go look for crappie. Have not had a good mess of them in a few years

Picked little man up a little early from school so we could get to his appointment with Dr Slab to test his reflexes!!! They're working fine!!

Cleaned 30 in 3 hours and even caught some more while I was waiting on the ramp to clear so we could load up!!

Fish above is currently the Lake Palestine Jr. Angler black crappie. He got his certificate in last week! Crappie spawn might be over but the Shad spawn is in full gear and the crappie are mowing em down!!! We finished first place and had big fish on Palestine yesterday and had a 50 fish limit in the boat a little after 9am. Tough day for big fish but that's how it is this time of year. Fish are scattered everywhere. Probably caught easily over 100 keepers. Good times!!
