I buy all the time from Sam's Club for the 4 store locations and have 6 at home. I even got a 60" from Sam's Club for outside for less than $750. Football season is the MOST expensive time to buy a TV especially playoffs..........but TV's are actually cheap with all the bells and whistles I can stand. Samsung and Visio are more than enough for what I do .........."look at them".............price points are definitely more important.

I just bought a new TV last week. I was looking at 4 TV's right next to each other. All 4 were 48" and three of the 4 were Samsung. I left with the Sony. There was NO comparison to how much more clear the Sony picture was to the Samsungs. TV's are just something you have to go look at and judge for yourself. Good luck in your search and let us know what you decide on.
Sony Bravia W600B is what I decided on. Got it for 448.99+

For you Samsung guys, have you ever had to deal with their customer service? I was a Samsung guy as well. I have a 58" plasma that is acting up and is out of warranty. I've been trying to get help since the day after Christmas. My TV is 4 yrs old and they discontinue parts after a few years. Leaves you searching eBay for parts. One of their tech specialist was very rude, actually told me to buy a new TV. I'm still working on trying to get the right parts. Most of the electronic panels run about $50-$80 and he tells me to buy a new tv[emoji6]
I'd do a check on who gets the best support reviews. If I have to bite the bullet and by and new tv, it won't be a samsung

Yes, it sucks. Both of mine were in warranty and I ended up fixing myself with YouTube and Amazon. I know they have great ratings but never again for me.

My wife and I bought a 60" Sharp LCD last year. About two weeks before Christmas a line appeared on the left side of the screen from top to bottom. As of last week I started the warranty process. So far it has been fairly painless. I am supposed to know by this Wednesday what the outcome of the situation is. So far even with the issue I have really enjoyed this TV. This might all change depending on the outcome of the warranty process.
