Why didnt you just set up a blind on the kill the day you found it and sit all night with a hog light?? Ill come sit all night on a kill with my bow if you find one. LOL
THats how they hunt leopards so dont see why it wouldnt work for a lion
No thank you!...I had an encounter with a mountain lion back in 2011 sitting in a brush blind while bowhunting hogs at night. Hearing that sucker roar at me from 30(guestimate) yards away, in total darkness, literally scared me stiff. It too was off hwy83 south of Junction near Garvens Store.
I believe my lion was hunting the same hogs I was. Could hear them grunting and squealing all night long and then they went totally silent for about 40 minutes. I stood and stretched and as I'm fixin to sit down, that is when it roared at me. You can probably use a couple of young feral hogs to bait it in too. Don't waste a good cabrito on it.
Sec, good luck with yourML hunt. I'm IN and thanks for the updates...

I'm thinking he moves on. No tracks or pics since last Tuesday and we've got cameras everywhere. If you're in this area be on the look out!
And let's us know if you get him. I'll update if we start seeing him again.
Hunted all night last night and nothing.....
Just talked to the gentleman that killed it. He took him southeast of our place and not far.
He said he'll post something on here when signal permits.
