I've hunted in Temple and around Killeen and the dove hunting has been terrible. No birds flying. Opening day I hunted morning and evening, and killed 6 birds. Saturday morning I didn't even shoot. I'm hunting 15 acres with a tank, and have maize fields on 2 sides. It's usually easy money to shoot a limit. My brother hunted up by Stephenville and said nothing was flying. Sure don't know what's going on, but at least where I've been hunting, it's been bad.

I got my limit Friday afternoon southeast of Waco hunting with my son and some others. Had 40 between the four of us. Saturday morning was terrible. Ended up with 2. Saturday evening I couldn't hit anything! Should have finished off my limit for the day, but all I got was six.

New braunfels was awesome early in the week...I still have bruises on my shoulder. There's still a ton of birds but they are flying super high now. Hope hunting picks up for you guys that haven't had much action.Comment
