There is a great place called Grumpys on nacogdoches rd a couple miles outside 1604. Tex/mex.

Chester's hamburgers is a San Antonio staple and there is one on 281 not too far from the airport.
I will second Grumpys! Its only about two miles from my house. Its amazing that I don't weigh 400 pounds!

    Chesters is also great.
    La Fogata
Any of these Taco trucks running around are great.
    Mr. Tims is good
Theres a good Puerto Rican restaurant near the airport, but I cannot recall the name.

If for some reason you end up in Boerne, do not pass up Mary's Tacos. Best breakfast tacos I've ever had, the fact that they're only 2 miles from my house makes them dangerous!

La Fogata has gone way downhill under the new owners. The original La Fogata owners are on Blanco Rd now called El Mirasol.

Good to know. I am not from there, I just travel on business to San Antonio on a fairly regular basis.

There is a little place right outside of San Antonio on that side of town called Cora's. It will be about 25 minutes from Sea World but it has ice cold beer and great nachos. If you order the extra large it comes on one of those cafeteria trays from my youth. If you are really lucky the owner will have made her homemade cobbler for dessert. Usually on Friday and Saturday there is live music. It is hard to beat for a good time.

There is a pretty **** good cheese steak place on Nakoma and West. It's called Wise Guys. These are lunch staples for us since my office is right across the street from Alamo Cafe.
I live in Heritage Oaks, right across from Tacos N Salsa, one of my go to places for breakfast tacos. Typically hit them up once or twice a week, my belt line can't take much more than that.

You thinking La Marginal for Puerto Rican food? Lunch buffet there is legit!

And one will feed all 4 of you!

When we went there my youngest son said he wanted 3 cinnamon rolls...he was thinking about the canned ones LOL. I just told the waitress to bring them one at a time. When it came out he freaked out and ate about 1/8th of it.

Everyone I have sent for lunch gets there family and returns for dinner the same week. I live near the airport and none of my favorite restaurants are real close.
This place is excellent. I love the beef fajitas and the green salsa.
