German Deli? Shilo's downtown on Commerce St. and about 2-3 blocks from the Alamo too. If you go to Shilo's, don't even let your kids touch the spicy mustard. It will definitely clear out your sinuses.

Chesters and Alamo Café are right near our hotel. May give those a try. My favorite place so far is Mi Tiera, but that's almost 20 miles from our hotel, which is a little farther than I wanted to go, especially after a few margaritas. I was doing some searching on the Google, and was pretty excited about Jacala. Sounds really good an has good reviews, but its not much closer, and with other places near my hotel coming TBH recommended, Im not sure if we will venture that far for dinner. We will just see how it plays out I guess.

Our biggest problem is that my kids are pretty much allergic to the 3 basic ingredients in everything. One is allergic to milk, the other eggs, an both wheat. Yeah, eating out with my family is kinda difficult. But, Im still looking forward trying some new places.

Keep the suggestions coming guys. We pull out tomorrow but probably wont get to try any of your suggestions until Tuesday because the wife wants to see the night Shamu show, which means dinner in the park I guess.

That was the place I was thinking of but couldn't tell you what it was called. Probably wont make it downtown this trip, but at least I know what its called now so I can find it next time. Im a sucker for some cured meat and kraut.

I like Tacos N Salsa for quick, tasty mexican food. There is one on Jones Maltsburger in the area you mentioned (north of airport). Alamo Cafe is not bad. There is a pretty **** good cheese steak place on Nakoma and West. It's called Wise Guys. These are lunch staples for us since my office is right across the street from Alamo Cafe.

This, and the new one is right down the road from Sea World. 4 people will be close to the $40 cap but worth it.

Who has the best breakfast tacos? I am at the JW Marriott so something close would be great.

If you do not mind driving to the east side check out Pollos Asados Los Nortenos. The food and service is great. They cook chicken outside over mesquite. Everyone I have sent for lunch gets there family and returns for dinner the same week. I live near the airport and none of my favorite restaurants are real close.

I had a project right next door for 2 years and never found decent tacos in that area.

The last time my wife and I were in San Antonio, we tried to go here for breakfast. The line was so far out the door we said the hell with it. I've heard it is bueno.
