It is kinda strange but you know you killed it. Poor guy has to pretend he was successful. Be thankful you killed something big enough for him to want a pic with. Maybe he will share some of the meat with you.

When I started home I stopped by the tackle shop to have it weighed. It weighed 7 lbs 5 oz. As I was leaving the shop an elderly gentleman stopped me and asked if I minded if he took his picture with my fish. He was from out of state and wanted to send the pictures to his kids back in Chicago. I handed him the fish and the ultralight rod out of the truck for him to hold also. He stood there with a great big grin while his wife snapped some pictures. He thanked me and said it was going to be a good joke on his kids. I knew who had caught the fish and enjoyed the pleasure he had in having his picture taken with that fish.
I would hope it to be something like this case. Standing there watching it unfold in front of me, i would have asked what's up?
But like another TBH member above said..... let it go.

Congratulations on a HOSS of an axis!!! did you get a weight or measurements?

I didn't take it as being that simplified.

The other issues are a topic for a different discussion. Probably not appropriate for this forum..lol.

                        LDP etiquette question

Had a guide in corpus ask if his clients could take a picture with their four fish in their hands in front of our board of 20 trout and 6 reds my brother in law and I had taken that morning. Most shocking part was watching his clients willingly participate!
