Yup, 6 years was my longest drought. Antler restrictions, my choice to be bow only and a sorry lease all contributed to it.

I went close to 4 years.

Last year I had put more then 150hrs in the stand throughout November and December. The very last day of the season (Jan2 or3) I hunted till noon hoping that late morning big boy would come out. Didnt see anything, absolutely nothing. Wind was howling 20-30mph what i would normally call a terrible day to hunt. I was done, driving out of the lease when i realized Id left my binos in the stand. I parked and was walking back to the stand and saw the deer in my avatar eating under the feeder. I made about a 150yrd shot laying prone, the .30-06 sung a sweet song.

Moral of that long story dont give up.

I have never shot a trophy. I don't have any deer heads on my walls none have ever been worthy enough to spend the money on a mount. This year I am holding out for the one but if not will take an older spike.

I would def. try some TPWD draw hunts. Just for a change of pace. All three of my deer have come on public land. I have private land to hunt but haven't seen a shooter on stand or on cam all year.

4 or 5 years. Maybe 6. Passed a lot of doe and a few spikes. If I didn't feel like messing with the deer, it got a pass.

Broke 2 droughts this year, 4 years for a buck and 2 years for a deer (doe or buck). This was my longest streak.

3 years, back when I was ate up with having to kill something that scored higher than the last one. What a dummy.

Sep 2012 and counting. I shot my profile buck then in Alberta. Since then we have returned to Texas and I have taken sole role of guide, cameraman and butcher for wife and kids. Sitting in blind myself this morning for first time since that buck in 2012 right now with hopes to take a doe.

Started to hunt of any kind this year. Got a bow 2 years ago and practiced and feel quite capable to hunt. Been in the stand on friend's property 3 weekends now and no deer or hogs seen. Plenty of tracks around feeders and throughout property. I'm 56. Always wanted to hunt and had a small trad bow when I was a kid, but grew up in the city. Now I've been living in the country life for quite awhile and finally decided to get going on the bucket list. No luck this year so far but hope for better luck in the future. Probably have a heart attack while drawing on first deer. Lol. Love this forum and plan to keep trying.

Wouldn't expect anyone to when I don't feel sorry for myself. I appreciate how lucky I am to hunt where I do every second of every day. I hope it comes across that way in my posts.
