It just dawned on me I think sneaky hit the nail on the head.
I discovered by accident a few weeks later that what happened was that when I was drawn back and released, I was tweaking my wrist in such a way that the string loop was suspended on the hook of my release! Then, when I moved my wrist even a hair - BOOM - the loop fell off the hook
I got the bow a cple of days ago and like a new girlfriend I cant keep my hands off of her. first bow ive ever ownd its draw is at 28 1/2 I think im around 27 1/2 so my anchor point is by my ear ROFL and I twist my hand too when im in draw. I know I know get it re adjusted and I will I just cant stop shooting. think im going to go with a wiseguy. thanks again guys
TruFire Hardcore or Scott Quickie II. Those are the best releases IMO. But I think they're out of your price range. I'd start looking for a used high-end release. A cheap release is just that - cheap. It's like buying a great rifle and putting a Walmart scope on it. A good release will improve your shooting markedly. It's not something to skimp on. I'd skimp on a sight, a stabilizer, a quiver.....but not on a release, arrow rest or bow.
Buy a really good used release or pony up the money for a really good one. A really good one will last you for YEARS!
