The ironic part is the landowners that do the most complaining are the ones that don't want to let people hunt them on their land. I have found a few but must are stingy and just want to complain.
That being said I'm a land owner and I like hogs, but they don't come by very often.
Btw my neighbor eats the coons I shoot, and my cats and dogs eat all scraps from any animal we shoot. It's all used. I got 6 squirrels in a pot now for thanksgiving.
Dang bro. I thought you were from Texas, but I am sure now that it is West Virginia
I get rid of them every chance I get. shot a 250 pound boar last weekend, let him lay for the notes. I prefer shooting the 30-60 pounders though cuz they are awfully tasty
a bigger pain in the but is dealing with hunters who are more destructive than the hogs they hunt. at least the landowner doesnt have to babysit the hogs, pull them outta mud holes, pick up trash they throw out, and worry about pigs killing and harassing his livestock. just sss and walk away
i leave them lay everyday and will continue im guessing till i die from old age
i wish there was a way to poison them that wasnt harmful to other wildlife. like a m44 for hogs instead of coyotes. hopefully someday they develop something like that ill buy lots of it.

Hogs are a big nuisance.
Sometimes hunters are a bigger nuisance.

Agree 110%
Whoever invents a poison that kills hogs and only hogs, leaving other scavengers free from harm after eating on a poisoned hog carcass, is going to be one of the richest men in the world.
I love killing em!
I feed year round just to shoot em year round. They need to be killed why not put effort in to it and if I'm gonna put effort in to it I'm gonna have fun with it!
I don't get the love that some people have for pigs*. I don't understand the bragging and talking about how much that weight and the going over game cameras and lusting over them. To me feral hogs* are like rats. They mess up the land, eat lots of corn and protein and chase off deer.
I pretty much hate feral hogs. I kill everyone of them that I see and am pleased if I hit them back so they can slowly drag them selves off the sendero and die.
Do you consider pigs* a varmint or a game animal?
Do you eat pigs* you shoot?
Do you hunt pigs* on there own as a target species?
GS tell me what you think.
Man be glad you were nowhere near me when you said that comment.
Maybe your area us different or you have better friends.
We always had people wanting a hog next time we shot one. Most of the time, they either didn't have time to mess with it and/or they wanted it delivered and processed for them.
After about 20-30 calls to people who wanted a hog and only 2 times that someone actually came and got it, we just quit calling.
I have seen the same thing. I have had a lot or people say "Oh, I would love to have a hog" (or a doe) . But after shooting one and offering to them, they are busy. I might skin and quarter it for some , but that's not what I had in mind. I have also had lots of pigs given to me as well. But when people call, I will go out of my way and don't expect them to skin or quarter.
My wife cooks a great (wild) pork roast. But I have a hard time getting her to eat (much less cook) deer or even elk. She loves the wild hog.
i agree about the love affair some have for them. I love hunting them with a bow. It is my passion. They are a terrible nuisance. But, on here awhile back, i was basically called a sorry sob because i didnt go out and look for one all night after i shot one...no more stories on here for me..ill keep em to myself
black, ignore these types. You cant live your life worrying about anyones opinion of what you did. I wouldn't have spent all night doing it either. There's always one guy who's "better than you" and gonna give you tha business..... Post on!!
We don't have any feral hogs on our deer lease . It's kind of a catch 22,because it would be a blast to hunt pigs in the winter, but then again I'm glad that we don't have to fix torn up feeders etc...
Btw...Far,and away the best game meat/sausage I've ever had came from a 90lb.feral hog.
