The first buck I shot with my bow dropped in his tracks. And the arrow clipped a major artery because it looked like a water faucet how blood was spewing up and out all over the place.
That evening the whole area was covered up with deer again, despite the pools of blood a few hours earlier.

A few years ago I shot a doe and she fell dead 10 yards away, five min later a second doe walked in so I shot her too. Then 2 years ago I rifled a spike and two does in about 15 min on the last weekend of the season. I dont think it matters much

I was having this discussion with a friend of mine and he will not sit in the same stand for a while after he makes a kill. Me personally I don't think it matters as much as some would like to believe it does and of course have no proof to back my opinion up but whats yours?

Say you sit in your favorite stand opening morning and shank a fat doe.....do you sit in that stand again for your evening hunt or sit elsewhere? And if not how long do you wait before you think its ok to go back to that stand to hunt ?
I once shot a doe and then 5 minutes later killed a buck.

Killed two whitetail within 5 minutes and never moved until I went and collected them up and hauled them to camp!

It depends on a lot of factors but it certainly happens with some regularity. It's pretty pressured where I work/hunt and I've done it. Usually 2 days in a row but I've done it on the same sit before. If your first shot produces a ton of blood, that'll usually make it a lot harder to get the second one.

I shot a hog and dropped in under the feeder. 30 minutes later I seen 3 doe come out pretty close to the hog but they avoided the feeder

Five deer out of the same stand in one evening. This was on a game managed ranch and all was legal before the crying starts that was my personal best but 2 deer from the same spot was a common occurrence.

Shot 4 does in 1 hunt from same tripod/same hunt and 2 or 3 numerous times from same spot.
If the spot is hot it is hot. Trails leading to feeding area mainly.

I had a couple of stands I hunted on Type II, I would see deer 9 out of 10 times. I have no idea how many deer I killed on those two spots. Its Private ground now.

It doesn't seem to bother the deer where we are. Last year, a group of hogs came in and I shot one. She ran about 100 yards before collapsing. The others scattered, but came back less than 2 minutes later. I shot another smaller one, but hit him a little further back than I wanted. He ran about 50 yards down a trail, and then fell over. He then proceeded to grunt and make noise, and I was worried (and aggravated) that he was going to scare the deer off. But nope, the deer came in like usual, some of them passing the grunting hog and doing little more than flicking there ears at him. After that I quit worrying about it. Even when I finally took my buck, the other bucks that were around just ran off a ways, then came back. They appeared to be more concerned over him jumping up and coming after them, than they were over the blood trail leading to him.

when i gun hunted i shot a doe in a new set up because the land owner wanted back straps for dinner, could not hunt the next morning so gutted the deer right next to the hand corn, next morning the land owner took his grandson to that stand and killed a 147 12point out of it while it ate the corn, gut pile and all. Only time in 25 years i got a little peeved at the land owner
