It's not about hurt feelings, it's about knee jerk reactions. There's no doubt that camo gives you an advantage, however slight, I'll still take it. If you see someone let their car go 15,000 miles between oil changes, but it's still running good, are you going to start letting yours go that long? If you don't play the wind and you kill a deer anyways, should you never play the wind again? If you have never successfully used a grunt tube, does that mean they don't work? I find it funny you see Uncle Ted not wear camo and kill a deer and profess that camo is now worthless and you're going to forego the use of it from now on.

To each their own and good luck in your strategy.

I only camo up for ground stalking big game. Today I shot a Turkey in jeans and a t-shirt with a restless dog on public land.

Yes the old guys did not use camo, but was hunting pressure the same as it was then as now? Anybody think that is a factor?

I don't know one way or another and a lot of it is great marketing, but I think it helps a bit. I don't buy the expensive stuff, but I still wear it. Plus it is just freaking cool. I also only hunt on the ground so I just feel more confident with it on.

I would love to see one of the hunting publications show how deer actually see some of the popluar camo patterns. They do the camo comparisons for how people see it, but how does it look when a deer sees it?

I don't wear camo anymore besides my hat. But, the hat is worn daily so that's an all the time thing. I wear black in my pop-up blind. Then, whatever the weather dictates in my pop-up stand. I assume if I were to stalk, or hunt tree stands I would wear camo. Any advantage against my target I am going to take.

If someone gets upset over another person's opinion on something as trivial as camo then he probably needs to quit reading forums.

They can't talk but but you can sure see their reaction when they get spooked.

I have noticed that wearing camo underwear does give you that extra advantage.

I would just like to be in the lab when they are doing the color blind test on a whitetail. Where is the data? Who did the study? Ive heard it for years but never seen the proof(in person)
