I am fat. I wear camo because it is awesome. And flattering to my figure. I feel more sneaky in it. All former "camo users" feel free to send me all your size xl gear.

I agree to an extent with both sides of the argument... While camo is not going to hide all of your movement it sure helps to subdue it... Anything that helps us tilt the odds in our favor even if ever so slightly is worth doing IMHO... yes the Indians survived just fine without it but it was not an option that existed at the time... Additionally, Indians were schooled to hunt like we are now schooled to whine and demand everything without having to work for it.. Indians were great hunters we are becoming great whiners

Indians used camo and cover scents. Camo was usually animal skins and the scents were natural like tarsal musk and cedar etc. so camo does work and has for a few thousand years.
As for me, I hunt from ground blinds and wear all black including face paint and dark gloves. No white shiny stuff for me and also no UV inhibitor washing detergent. Scent killer spray and lots of it

No UV brighteners is the key. Yes plain clothes work...But blue jeans are not blue to animals eyes when washed with detergent that has NO UV brighteners. Blue is a color that you won't find anywhere in the woods, desert or prairie. Maybe a little bit on a Gobblers head...I gave up face masks and grow my hunting beard for the fall to break up the silhouette of my face.
