Yes, he can be considered an agent working for the benefit of one Johnny Manziel.

He's already commented on it, as have Rovell and all the other Aggie favorites.

Live presser on ESPN within the hour. Sumlin from Aggieland. This has to be a distraction, no?

If they bench JF he could come after the University under the Sportsmans act.

The NCAA doesn't have to worry about burden of proof or JF suing them. They merely have to be 70% sure he profited.

How he answered signing the memorabilia could be all the link they want or needed.

I guess will find out tomorrow! The gag order by the AD is very odd in and of itself.
It is. Wonder if Coach Sumlin is in the dark on this and waiting on the ESPN report again to find out what is going on.

To me the danger is if it later comes out Uncle Nate was the bag man, JF knew and was not forthcoming with the NCAA then there can be a major problem. This would open all kinds of sanction issues. Sitting him two games would likely wipe the slate clean with the NCAA and he would be certain to be healthy for BAMA. Sitting him would not lessen any of his value in the NFL and could still win the Heisman.

Not sure how they'd address Uncle Nate. Figure that was probably one of the items they spoke about during their lengthy meeting... There's really no playbook/rule book for handling a student athlete that became the first ever freshman to win the Heisman in this ever changing environment in regards to society/social media/ etc. Its being written/re-written weekly it seems in regards to Manziel.

The Heisman vote has sailed. I don't care how amazing his season is... He would have to win the crystal to keep them interested. They vote on character more than folks care to acknowledge.

Clowney won't win it either! Woodson scored TD's....

The point that you'd have a hard time making is that that little twit is of any benefit to anyone!

Lots of players have had success early in college and had to handle it. If the excuse is a freshman shouldn't be held to the same standards as every other player then they shouldn't be allowed to play and/or win awards. I find the excuse silly that he shouldn't be held accountable because he is a freshman (red shirt at that). He is QB1 at a major program.

I agree the second Heisman probabilities are very low at this point but I do think a lot of it is due to ESPN and Joe Schad. I know he has done a ton of stupid things this off-season but negative press has hurt him, whether you think it's deserved or not.
