He's gimped up now, so it's going to be a long rut & winter for him if he can't heal up. My wife hasn't seen him yet, so who knows what'll happen to him.

I remember seeing the velvet pics during the summer now.

My dad was on that lease when I was in high school. Since I still lived at home I was able to go out there as well. We were on it a few years if I remember right... That was about 15 years ago. That place is HUGE!! I remember shooting a doe out there but was that about it. It was nice having that lake though and just going camping and fishing year round.

I hunt the east side of Leon county in the Trinity river bottom. I've hunted twice this year on October 25th and 26th. About ten minutes after getting in the stand on Oct 25th, a doe came trotting through under my stand. Two big bucks were about 10 seconds behind her chasing her through the woods. Also heard two bucks fighting but never saw them.
