Texans...where do you live and if you could move?? Where in TX would you go??

Short term...long term?? Let's hear them...I love the rgv but worry about the quality of life in the next decade.

I'm just not talking about the border issues, but I am also losing being able to get out into the country to goof off the last hour of daylight from the growth. We are booming down here!! Getting out in the country to shoot a .22 has never been more than 15-20mins till now.

It would be dumb to pack up with my roots so deep, but I'm not so sure I want to retire here.

I HATE cold weather and the summers here are starting to get as bad...doubt there is a perfect year round place but would love to hear the "what if's"

I would move about 30 miles west. Don't know if I could survive being more than 30 minutes from the coast.

        San Antonio.

If I could live anywhere else It would probably be Lake of the Woods, Ontario... until it froze.

Live in McKinney. Really like my neighborhood and the city as a whole. My kids and wife love it.
I really want to move to Grayson County right on lake Texoma. Some place I could walk to my own slip.
I also really like Marble Falls and Fredericksburg and would love to live down there but doubt that'll happen

I live in Baton Rouge currently. If I had to Choose I would say somewhere along the coast of Texas. In between Houston and Corpus not real sure exactly where probably in the middle. I would also like a summer home in Wyoming or Montana cause Texas is too dam hot in the summer.

Artos, I feel about the same way. I've lived here (Mission) all of my 59 years of life, and it's hard to think of living anywhere else. I grew up shooting a .22 all over our property, and in high school we had a deer lease that was 5 minutes from our place. Now I drive 45 minutes to get past McCook to our lease. IThe Valley is getting too crowded and I don't like the traffic in certain areas at certain times of the day. Our three sons are all north of here, and the only grandson is in Irving. If I had my choice, I'd move to the hill country in a heartbeat. I spent many summers there and would love to spend the rest of my life sitting on my back porch, shooting deer and watching the sun set.

I live in West Texas... The real west Texas, CRP, and cotton fields as far as the eye can see... Not very conducive to hunting big game animals.

Live anywhere in Texas? Hell just anywhere off the caprock is better than here!

Live in Lake Worth, like a lot of areas we have grown, not so much in population but businesses. If I could move anywhere in the state it would be the coast. Port Aransas would be nice.
