Informal Poll: Mechanically Inclined or Not?

Not mechanically inclined, at all. I can change the oil in the vehicles, change a tire, but thats about the extent of my mechanical skills. Pretty lame I know, but it interests me none. I know it could save me some $$$ to know more, but I have to save room in my brain for more important things, like........anything else.

Also a certified machinery vibration analyst from Vibration Institute.

Kinda mechanical. No expert by any means but usually screw it up real well then pay someone to fix it right...

I would like to say I am mechanically inclined compared to a lot of people, but I can not compare to my dad he is the definition of mechanically inclined lol.

This. However I'm not fond of all the computers and sensors on these newer vehicles.

Mechanical, but dont get me anywhere near anything to do with electricity.

Not at all. There have been things I have fixed on my vehicle in the past and I look back and wonder how I did it. Kinda like Chew said, if I have a video or book, it's a "maybe", but hand me a power tool and I'll give you this look

I feel pretty mechanically inclined.

I'd have to say yes I am....somewhat. I can take this apart, fix them and put them back and they work. I can make things from nothing. I can just build things.

But mostly if something is not working I can usually figure out why and fix it.

Mechanical. I have learned out of sheer necessity. I have never had enough money to do anything other than fix it myself. New cars kill the do it yourself mechanic and the mentality.

I can fix most anything...there are usually extra parts left when I finish.
