I have no problem with an open carry!

We can't open carry in public now? Yikes. No wonder I've been getting strange looks down at the Wal-Marts!

I'm for it, for CHL licensees only, I won't do it unless I'm at the lease during the offseason and run into town for corn, food, or something like that. I prefer to conceal mine. My theory is that if your wearing your heater on your belt and some crazy is intent on robbing the place you're at, or just wants to kill everybody, YOU'LL be first.

I think we should have the right, but why would you open carry instead of concealed? I get the deterrent thing but I think it attracts a lot of unwanted attention.

Before i had my peace officer license, i carried under my CHL, which i let lapse once i became a leo. When i had it, i always concealed, and even today i conceal 99% of the time, even though i am not required to. What i always disliked about the chl law, was that if your weapon was spotted by the wrong person, they could call the police and you would get in a heap of trouble. It's just too easy for your shirt tail to slide up and display the weapon. If we had the option, that part would become a moot point.

And Missouri is a big demilitarized zone. No sarcasm emoticon on tapatalk but this is thick sarcasm.

I carry a Glock 32 concealed everywhere I go, but I would prefer open carry. I think besides the Glock other concealable guns aren't as reliable, don't hold as many rounds as I would like and are harder to shoot. Also, they don't spit the bullet out of the end of the barrel fast enough, because all the powder isn't burnt before the bullet reaches the end of the barrel leading to shoddy bullet performance aaaaand the smaller guns are generally less accurate.

Ouch. I don't just read I shoot. Experience tells me I'm right. You don't see cops running around with Kel-Tec p3ats and S&W 642s. They carry full sized heavy duty hand guns for a reason

What he said. I like having options.

Agreed, I carry a good sized gun and I'm blessed to have shoulders larger than my waist so my shirts drape over my gun and keep it concealed. Some of my friends aren't so lucky and have to carry pee shooters or anyone can see the outline of their gun. If the outline wouldn't get you in trouble there would be no problem
