About 20 years ago, I shot a Javi with my recurve, through the heart as he was running. Maybe one of the best shots of my life. He ran about 10 yards and did a U-turn and came straight back toward me - arrow sticking out on both sides the whole way. I was preparing to shoot him straight-on in the skull when he skidded to a stop not 5 yards from me. Yea, what a rush is right! They will keep you on your toes at close range.
Edit???. I am sure it happened as you say but why post an edited vidio???????. Post the vidio as the camera saw it so we can see it as it happened as well. What matters here is what you perceived at the moment it happened. I was not there, or anybody else for that matter, other than the camera. So it does not matter what we think. But i would like to see unedited vidio of the happening.
What i am saying here is that sometimes facts are stranger than fiction, so i am like the gentleman that asked for a vidio....i would like to see it as it happened. Having spliced, and edited many vidios in the past it is easy to...............
I watched a TV program once of a jaguar trying to kill a javalina for a meal. That javelina would not give in and fought that cat tooth and nail for hours. They were both exhausted, and would rest, then go at it again. I don't remember which one eventually won the fight, but, I respect any animal that can battle a big cat for hours.
I have spot and stalk hunted them in south Texas and have taken a total of 4. They are tough little critters. One of our guys got treed by a pack of them, when I guess they were accidentally pretending to charge him, repeatedly under the the tree he was in. My brother had to blast down to him on the 4 wheeler to run them off and get them to give up the faux charge, treeing thing they were doing. Heck, maybe no one told them they were scared of people?
Congrats on the ranch rat! A javi is the only animal that has actually chased me. He wanted to eat my a** and I had to whack him across the head FOUR times with my longbow while running backwards to get him to finally turn and leave.

Now "That" would make a cool video. Glad you made it Bisch...
Well, even though everybody knows javis can't see 2 feet in front of their face, it is pretty obvious that that one saw you move as you were drawing your bow!
I have hunted a gazillion pigs and javis, and yes, 99% of the time they are just running to get away, But, every once in a while, they do get in attack mode!
