Feeder Funnel Yes or No... and why or why not?

I'd try to help answer that one but you are the only person that I have ever heard that. In fact I'd think it was the exact opposite...

Im with you. I have heard it OVER and OVER here on the GS... the last one was on my 110 gallon feeder build... I just wonder why?

I use funnels. I have had experience with moisture getting in a barral that did not have a funnel and it is not good. I would not put out a feeder without a funnel because of the problem with rust and bad corn around the edges. I know that molded corn is not good for deer or anything else in the wild or demestic.

I use funnels in mine. I have always replaced the lock ring lids with the good ones with a big lip on them and I have had the corn get moldy and stinky before I started using funnels. You must be using the Gore Tex material in your lids Dale!
