      I didn't realize it was that expensive. We buy it buy the barrel for our ranch. We mix it with something else (not diesel) and something blue.

          Save the diesel for your truck. Water, soap, dye and triclopyr will do the trick. Being the tree hugger/ tree killer that I am I use a spray bottle and paint the stumps so as to only kill my target and not everything else around the stump.

            My mind set is that you must be careful going to light with your active ingredent. Because you want to minimize the chance of re-sprouts, which will result in increased expense and time.
            The only thing I know about adding water to deisel fuel and your chemical, is that once I had failed to empty all the water out of a sprayer before I added the deisel and chemical. I wound up with a 25 gal. mixture with a consistancy simuliar to molasses. This resulted in an excessive amount of chemical being applied. But it certainly kill the mesquite. C'ya
