Is used the ezy axis doe call and called a nice buck in to like 10 yard last summer. I’ve never had success with the buck call. I’ve also used a hoochie momma elk call. crazy how axis sound like elk. Had a little herd of does not far from me one morning and they were all “mewing” like cow elk.

Yes the hoochie momma elk call works well on axis. I used it before I got the EZY axis calls.

One of the guys on our place went up this weekend. Said the place was as green as he’s ever seen it and axis weren’t coming to feed.

I saw one buck out the back window of the house this evening. He crossed thru and stopped for a second to look at the protein feeder and then continued on his way. Never ate a bite.

I came out to my place near Del Rio this evening. I’m gonna be here a few days. I checked my cameras and have a few nice bulls here today. I may try to get me one while I’m here this week.

Just a work weekend. Worked on the cabin and filled feeders. Saw a few from the cabin.
