Axis bow hunting is as close to elk hunting that you can get. Love it. Going in a few weeks, but the cost of a buck is through the roof. It will take a giant for me to shoot.

Shot a young buck on a quick trip to the lease couple weeks ago. Had 4 or 5 bust out of the woods in front of me about 30 yards from the stand I was walking to. All of them were in velvet. Shot first one in group. 150 #

They are definitely too comfortable. Hard as heck to kill though. They know when I’m there. 😂
