I'd have to wonder what that does on balls further toward the end of the bat...seems like there's gonna be a trade off. I guess if you've got Judge, Stanton, and a home right field the distance of a big 12U field...it could pay off.
I don't guess I've ever even heard of bat dimension rules, but I imagine they looked into that. Either way, **** the yankees.

Major League Baseball confirmed Sunday that the bats do not violate Major League rules or bat supplier regulations. Rule 3.02 states that bats cannot be more than 2.61 inches in diameter and 42 inches in length.

Apparently there's no "minimum" measurements, only "maximum". I guess if you want to tote toothpicks up to the plate that's on you. That being said, if the Bronx Bombers keep up the dinger pace, there will be lots of teams duplicating.

Tough to sit thru but we stayed until the 9th. The two run rally felt like something BIG was coming. Astros just never dug in, it was kinda an odd game but it is always a good time. 50/50 team super early in a looooong season!
