I’m glad someone else started this thread. My good luck karma was gone. Was gonna ask TShelly (I think) to maybe start it since I gave him a hard time when he started it instead of me and we didn’t win the series. My luck has worn out. Should be interesting. LFG!
Biggest issue this season is going to be lack of hitting coming from our outfield, aside from yordan. We need one more bat. But excited about paredes and walker.
Let’s go! A lot of changes, we’ll see if they pan out.
What team has been more successful over the last 10 years in winning and revenue? Yet the Astros WILL NOT spend big money on franchise players. Tucker hurt the worst losing him. Astros will be in the same boat in few years when Yordan is a FA.

Im happy with the Tucker Trade. Dude is going to get crazy money next year and Astros wont pay it so get something for him now. Losing his bat will hurt, but that same bat seems to disappear in the playoffs. Yordan under contract through 2028 so plenty of time until have to worry about that. Astros also have 7th highest team payroll right now so not like they dont spend money. Just need this year to go bye and get rid of the dead cap money and will have a bunch to spend next year.
We do ALOT of Astro's game and I am really skeptical but we will be in the stands as usual. If we can get off to a solid start I think the parts may begin to gel. I am not into betting, but if I were I doubt it would be more than five bucks on us seeing a strong run in the division.
I'm glad to see baseball right around the corner. I'm glad that they did not resign Bregman after all the contract BS. He was not worth what the asking price and I guess did not have any real commitment to the "team", especially with JA willing to give up 2nd base and go to the outfield for him. No different that Springer or Correa and I'd wager that his performance in Boston will not justify the 40mil per year.
Will see if the pitching staff can hold up and perform. I personally wish they would have traded Framber. He's a great pitcher but seems to faulter in high pressure situations (aka the post season). JV leaving was so so and of course you have the milk cow LMK that probably won't ever sniff the mound for any significant portion of time before being hurt again. I'm optimistic that they will do well, but the Rangers and Mariners got better too. The Astros are going to have to grind it out but I think they have a good combination of veterans/youngsters to make another run.
