Picked up a processed deer Sunday at Griffith Taxidermy in Burnet. I mentioned to the owner Robert Griffith that I had a South Texas draw hunt coming up, but I had lost my rattling antlers. He went in the back, found a nice heavy rack he had as a leftover, sawed off the antlers from the skull, and then sawed off the brow tines. He refused to accept my offer to pay for them as he handed them to me. I take my deer there because the processing is top quality and the business goes back generations.
