It **** sure sucks to be a landowner and still have to pay the stupid nonresident prices. But not gonna make me sell just to avoid an additional $200 per yr.

It’s more than $200 a year increase for nonresident.

It’s a $408 dollar increase. More than double the cost of last year.

Landowners should be eligible for a discounted fee or a lifetime in my opinion. Oh well.

Agreed, skin in the game should count for something.

So we can "save" $400 this year if we buy 2 tags (bow and gun) before July 1st? Not great but instead of double this year, you only go up $208 and kick that can down the road till next year to take the big hit. That sound right?

Pretty much getting in line with Kansas, I knew back when I hunted there had to buy license and a tag......some states you have to buy a license, non refundable, to put in for draw hunts and odds of being drawn low so basically just a shake down to get in draw......I have literally never been checked by an Oklahoma GW and I've hunted there my whole life, other than one time next to Salt Plains refuge and only once ever there and trust me we shoot a lot........ducks, geese and cranes, and never been checked for deer but also dirt roads and not far from the house......deer and turkey season the GW is running in circles with phone ringing.......

What really stinks is my college age daughters were finally going to be able to hunt up there this yr. But for all 3 of us to get a license it would cost $2,124.00 and they would probably only make it 3-4 trips. Thats really gonna sting if I decide to do it but not sure it will be worth it. They have got to find a way to do a landowner tag.

i used to bowhunt cross timbers and had a good time for a few years. license was $300 and a bit. then it got over crowded. people everywhere and they would set up right on top of you. didnt care if they were 50 yards from you. i had enough and called calf rope. now its more than doubled. definitely out

Bottom line deer hunting, and hunting in general, has become a very expensive "hobby" and Oklahoma is just catching up with the rest of them........I'm pretty much a waterfowl Hunter and fisherman and luckily have my own places to hunt, for now....

Thought of yall when this post came up. Really seems like they are trying to keep Texas residences from buying up OK land. Agreed on landowners having a discount for out of state tags!

They’re not going to stop me from looking there. I’ll just get the archery tag only for myself and kids.

What am I missing? Checked the website and it says that nonresident archery is $300 ( just a $20 increase from last year) and deer gun is $300 ( which I don't do anyway).

Someone needs to go ahead and buy their license for this season and see if it lets them for the $300 that’s listed on web page currently.
