How much does a web developer cost per day? Can we help hire one for TBH?

Can tell a lot of folks don't understand how IT works, much less IT on a budget and time constraints LOL

I've moved on that the site won't be fixed until after deer season.

I certainly don’t, but I do understand that what can be done, IS being done.

I don’t seem to be having the issues that most are, either, so who knows. If throwing money at the problem is a viable solution, I would contribute as well.

First, I would gladly contribute $100 to a fund.

Second, it is my opinion that because this site has grown, and is now meaningful to many, many people, running it necessarily comes with a bit more responsibility than perhaps anyone bargained for back in the beginning (and I’ve been on TBH since 2004).

I think it’s fair for folks to point out that an update beyond “it’s being worked on” would be a reasonable request. It would be a gesture to this TBH community that counts TBH as meaningful to them that you care about them. We are your guests, after all. We’re in your house. Interestingly enough, we helped build it. It would be nice to know someone still cares we’re even here.

And for the record, I have not complained a single time about the new site. Not once. And I’m not complaining now. I love this site and appreciate all that it stands for. And as stated, I want to help. Let me and others help, if that’s a possibility. Or at least let us know our help is not needed. That would be appreciated.

Find out the cost fixing it for good, and maybe put out a new limited edition sticker to cover it. I'd support it for sure.

I decided to log in on my phone and is just as fast as my PC. 1-3 seconds between threads. About 8 seconds for notification tab.... and about to see the posting time.

Same here. Not many problems here although due to my medical issues I’m going through currently I haven’t been on as much as usual. I’ve been in the hospital for periods of 22 days and now 4. My only connection to the world has been through my iPhone or IPad during that time. I’ve been on them through wifi and LTE those days from the room and haven’t experienced anything but a couple of slow uploads of pics. I’m sitting with 693 notifications too that I just haven’t messed with . Based on what I’m seeing if I delete them it will be even faster but haven’t experience anything that would make it worth the time. I guess my wifi and LTE connections for my iPhone are better than others.

I’d be more than happy to contribute to a fund to help make it even better or assist the mods to finish up. Just tell me where to send the donation. Also shout out to those busting their *** working on this behind the scenes and working a “real job” too.
