I thought it was just my company doing it so I'd get bored of the slow speed or not loading and close it to get some work done during the day

How much does a web developer cost per day? Can we help hire one for TBH?

At this point (actually, months ago now), I can’t understand a lot of you long-time TBH members that automatically jump on anyone posting about issues with the site and the lack of much improvement. The fact is, the new site SUCKS if you’re browsing from a phone like the vast majority, period.
We keep hearing “It’s being worked on……”. I think the idea of members donating money (Hail, I’m in for $100 if Michael agrees to it) is a great idea. Most of us know this site wasn’t generated to be a money-generating revenue stream like so many others, which is one of the MANY aspects that make TBH Phenomenal. That is also why you have an opportunity unlike those other sites, to allow members to pitch in to REALLY support this site and keep it enjoyable. It’s so refreshing not to be bombarded with Ads and click bait between posts or pages. I’m willing to pay for that luxury in my life.
Now, let’s try not to jump on fellow members asking legitimate, reasonable questions, especially when it’s an idea to benefit the site with no strings attached.

Very well said Sackett. I don't personally find the feeling of not owing anyone an explanation endearing. Thousands of folks have a vested interest in this site as a part of their daily lives. An update as to what's going on would make people feel better. You can't invite people to your house and then feel like you can't tell them why the AC isn't working or the power isn't on. Unless you don't care if they are there or not, which may be the case.

I've moved on that the site won't be fixed until after deer season.

for alot of folks this is their online home. They love and enjoy the sense of family that “used” to be a major draw…especially for those whose only social media presence is here.
the entitlement moniker goes to those that feel the need to berate, belittle and go full Karen on anyone with a question about the status.
those self appointed “entitled” defenders are the ones deserving of your down nose gaze…
edit…
