Sorry for your loss, brother. These inconsiderate people will be going hungry in the event of a disaster while hunters have plenty to eat. Leave it to the man upstairs. You'll feel better and in time, payback will come. God bless.

Doesn't seem like a courtesy issue...unless you told them you would be hunting the fenceline that day..it also could have been the only way to get to their feeder and the only time they could get it done...when hunting a fence line with a road/trail down it expect it to be used, sorry but that's one of the drawbacks of hunting fence lines.....also as already pointed out..you need permission before crossing a fence even if your tracking a wounded animal...

Did the neighbors know you were hunting, and that close to the fence? If not, maybe you should have let them know...may have helped.

I saw the mother in town and said.."whenever your kids are going to ride 4 wheelers why dont you call me so i wont hunt that day"..i said it nice...she got mad and said..."Just for that i am going to tell them to ride every day, How about that?.....and they did. The opening day of gun season they drove around my property from daylight to dark. They would stop and reve up the motors...also they had guns which they shot in the air all day long. I shouldnt have said anything. the sheriff told me the same thing...Their property and i couldnt do anything about it. Thankfully they have graduated and moved away.....Shoe

You step onto property that is not yours and you are TRESPASSING.....they can file charges on you...and probally will..it's theirs and it doesn't have to have a sign...

The most read threads on this forum deals with the placement of stands and feeders on fence lines...general consensus says to stay off ...move inland a couple of hundred yards...I believe that if the rules on your place require you to hunt the fence lines,I would find another lease...

Negative. Absolutely illegal. The fine can be $1000. $2000 if you take your gun.

I know what they were doing is not right, and it was probably the first time even filling the feeders, but I would be bow hunting on a fence line either.

This is what I am thinking.

My thought is your lease manager said not to talk to em. So I'd play by his rules since you're leasing from him.

That's just the chance you have to take when you hunt a fenceline.

Just wear your camo mask and run fast!

Officer "what did he look like sir?"

landowner " well he was wearing camo and had camo hair"

Officer "was he white black hispanic"

                                Landowner "he was camo"

Just kidding dont tresspass. I bet a cold beer and friendly conversation and you would find out they had no clue you and your daughter where up there. Its good to make friends with neighbors. My hunting property just went from 112 acres to an open barb wire gate and another 68 acres of free hunting. And that 68 acres has the only pond that has water. Except for colleto lake but that is a whole other area.
