          True story.

I went to do some work on a rent house one morning and while I was loading some tree limbs I had just trimmed in my truck my renters lawn crew drove up, unloaded and started mowing.

They mowed around my stack and kept going. It took me a minute to pick up and sit back and watch the show.

Those guys mowed the rest of the front yard, went to the back, loaded up and were about to go when I pointed to the spot they bypassed.

They just looked and got in the truck and drove off. Total time was less than 15 minutes.

I think my renter was over charged.

                Ok,

Here's what I got from this thread...BlackSunshine probably has a well kept yard and has suffered some drainage issues at some point in time. Many of you do your own yards. Some folks that are calling the yard workers lazy for doing this are probably right for the most part (it reflects back on their owners/bosses as well). JB thinks that the folks who can afford to pay other folks to cut their yard are really the lazy ones....hmm, OK. JB's responses to the folks questioning his response made me think I probably wouldn't want to hire him. Justifying your production at work due to rising gas prices and the desire to get to the next job don't really get any play in my ride. Folks repsonding to JoeBuck's quotes with a "^^^^ This" or "Spot On" also think that the homeowners are lazy. One of them I'm assuming is a taxidermist based on his screen name...The taxidermist is correct, I am too lazy to learn how to mount all the animals I whack, therefore I pay my taxidermist plenty of money each year. We pay a maid that cleans our house once every 2 weeks so yeah, guess I'm lazy. Pay a pool company to clean the pool once a week, guess I'm lazy. Pay my Yardguys to mow my yard once a week, yup, guess I'm lazy....pay somebody to chage my oil and wash my truck...lazy....work my azz off to provide for my family to where I can afford to pay somebody else to do the things I don't want to do...then yeah, guess I'm lazy....responding to this thread as a nice way to wind down after finishing up a 14 hr work day. probably a waste of time, but I kinda like being lazy...

Wonder what we should do about the trees when they drop their leaves? Those trees should know better!

feel free to call me lazy, I can hire people like you for a lot less $$ than my time is worth . You get to mow my yard, I get to ride my bike, go fishing or play with my daughter
10-4 on that... Not good calling your customers lazy... I work 60 hrs to sometimes 90+ hrs a week... I have my lawn done because they would not like me mowing after 10:00PM ....

Yes I do my own yard, never myself suffered from drainage issues but that doesn't mean I turn a blind eye to the issue....

Nice to see I am not the only tangent butterfly....

I have a small lawn business and do not put the clippings in the street, usually I blow them into the yard. I trim hedges first then mulch and pickup whats left.
