It's simple. Act like you got some feed and them shoot him in the head with a .22. This isn't about "sport" it's about putting an animal down and meat. You're not going "hunting" for him so you shouldn't feel bad about it. Just make it quick and simple and don't waste any meat.

It is no different than shooting an injuryed horse or cow. Just walk up to it and shoot it in the head and be done with it. Shooting this animal is not about sport it is just about getting the job done.

With our current administration, Jeff could probably get funding to study WHY this happened.
Of course,this could take several cogressional sessions to get approved, which would allow this deer (and his antlers)to get much bigger,increasing the value, compounding the factors to consider when making a decision such as this.

if you can justify shooting a deer or hawg w your bow, why not your pet. It's no less ethical or inhumane. I'm in Michigan. I was thinking about getting a big goat and ram from 4H just to raise em big a shoot em w the bow.
