But that's not the Golden Triangle - this is
"The Golden Triangle is an area of Southeast Texas between the cities of Beaumont, Port Arthur, and Orange. The "golden" refers to the wealth that came from the Spindletop oil strike in Beaumont in 1901."

Just watch the outdoor channel LOL!
There is a reason people hunt with lights in East Texas...those bruisers don't show themselves in daylight that often and very seldom on camera.
I ain't complaining either, the way I like it. I've been invited to the triangle several times just have not taken advantage of it.

Okay, to make this even more absurd, remove Hagerman and the contiguous properties. Then how many fair would it be.
Reminds me of this statement.

You lawyers can try to word it all you want, your argument or whatever you are trying to argue is a moving target that only you are understanding.
Can we get a simple paragraph what it is you are trying to argue? As it's moving faster than a coyote being chased by a BP helo.
you are correct, the comparison is being made in a FALSE world (that world being that North and South Texas being equal) (WHICH THEY ARE NOT). The fact is that there is NO way to compare South Texas and North Texas in a real world application because they are so different in deer numbers, property sizes, fence heights, # of hunters, and willingness to let the young ones walk by those hunters. They are on 2 totally opposite ends of the spectrum. THAT is why South Texas is THE place to go if you want the best chance at taking a trophy buck. Don't confuse my opinion, I would chose a high fenced, well managed ranch in South Texas over any place here in North Texas in a heartbeat.

Well I can tell you I have hunted all over South Texas for 25 years and after becoming a north texas transplant a few years ago, south texas is easier hunting,in General. Truly big deer are hard to find much less kill anywhere you hunt. That's why killing a big deer up north would have a little extra special feeling to it. But I for one am busy with all my other priorities (family;job;etc.) there is only so much time to be away which is why I still prefer to drive 8 hours and hunt south texas because more game; more fun; higher succes rate. I appreciatte a good challenge but I don't really want to make it harder on myself with the limited amount of time I have to hunt anyway????
That being said if you have ever hunted down south there is something intoxicating about it; it gets in your blood and you just have to be there can't explain it but I know there are many on here who can vouch for it
