Sorry to hear this LP, a great tribute you have given her. The solace is and always will be your time spent in the field together. Remember the last hunt, I bet she does. Prayers for you and the kiddos to deal with this loss when it happens.

i know how you feel. i had to put my lab down 2 years ago. it was the hardest thing i think i have had to do. it will be for the best. you do not want her to suffer.

Beautiful dog. Thanks for sharing and hope her days are peaceful. I have a 15 year old Schnauzer that we are going thru the same things with. I have felt the way you do for the last year. She still seems to have fun most days, but like most of us, can't do what she use to .

          God Bless.

These threads are always tough and make all of us reflect on those great dogs of the past. I have said it before, and still believe, nothing like a new pup to ease the loss. It does not seem right when you start looking, but a day or two with a new pup and the sky is a lil' brighter.

I think I'm going to go get both of mine, clean them up, and let them in tonight. They've been outside and are muddy from all the rain but reading this reminds me how excited they are to see me even when I'm having the worst day. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely gorgeous! I just lost my 12 year old dog. She would have been 13 on Sept 5 (last Sunday) So I know what you are going through. Looks like you put her through a great life!
