My lab is now 10, and that day is closer on the horizon now than I want it to be. You did right by Jenny, she's had a great life with an obviously loving family. Unfortunately, our final responsibility to those dogs we love is to ease their journey into rest. Those kids in your pics will learn how to deal with it by your example........

I am so sorry to hear this. I lost my old Lab earlier this year. He was my friend and companion for 14 years. He was a heck of a duck, goose, and Dove hunter. I surely miss him and feel your pain.

Great Tribute post LP, I'm glad to hear you took her hunting with you last week. You will always remember that last hunt with her and I'm sure she really loved going. God Bless you and your family, I pray you guys will be strong when she passes.

Sorry to hear this it's tough. I lost one of my best friends last summer and now my Golden is get 12 years of age and noticed last night when she got up to go to bed she was stiff and moving slow. I know its just a matter of time.

Take solace in knowing that she enjoyed every minute of it as much as you did.

they truly are best friends. The ones that I have lost still bring a tear to my eye. Take advantage of every moment you still have with her brother!

I'm sorry amigo i lost my yellow just a few months back & i'm still amazed how much emotion their absense brings.

I'll be in SA this monday to pick up my new vizsla pup...nothing seems to cure the pain like a little puppy breath.

I can't thank Bryan enough for helping me with all the extra effort & priveledge for getting one of his pups. Although we have never met, he's been a true friend & perfect example of the kind of solid folks we have here on TBH.
